Tool questions

About this tool

Can it identify the codec or frame rate?

Not reliably. Those properties are not exposed consistently by the browser media element, so this inspector does not guess them.

Why do dimensions differ from my editing app?

Rotation metadata, browser decoding, and container interpretation can vary. Use a dedicated media inspector when exact source metadata matters.

Does it modify the video?

No. It displays browser-reported properties and leaves the source file unchanged.
