BITRATE PLANNER · FRAMEWELL
Video Bitrate and File Size Calculator
Plan a rough bitrate target before encoding a video for a file-size limit. The result is an estimate, not a final size guarantee.

1 MB = 1,000,000 bytes.
The calculator subtracts this from the estimated total bitrate.

About this tool
Is MB decimal or binary?
The calculator treats 1 MB as 1,000,000 bytes, which is the decimal convention used by many upload limits.
Will the export match the calculated size?
No. It is a starting estimate. Encoder and container overhead vary, so leave room below a strict upload limit and check the exported file.
Why subtract an audio bitrate?
The target size covers audio and video streams together. Reserving the planned audio rate leaves an approximate budget for video.
